K-Laser Therapy

What is K-Laser ?

K-Laser  Laser Therapy, or "photobiomodulation," utilizes specific wavelengths of light  to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation, and decreased swelling.

A Therapeutic, Pain-Free Option — Only at Cold Lake  Physiotherapy Clinic

Our Class 4 laser is the only K-Laser Cube 4 in the Lakeland area, giving you the benefits of quick healing by stimulating the growth and repair of your tissues, muscles, cartilage and bones.Certain wavelengths of light are used to interact with tissues at a cellular level, increasing your metabolic activity. The laser decreases your healing time by increasing circulation and reducing pain and swelling. K-Laser therapy has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration and is widely used in Canada and the United States.

CLASS IV LASER THERAPY

WHAT ARE BENEFITS OF CLASS IV LASER THERAPY?

Class IV Laser Therapy has been shown to produce the following effects to an injured area:

  • Decreased pain and inflammation
  • increased bloodflow
  • increased oxygenation
  • increased ATP activity, which is the process required in the healing of tissues.

Class IV Laser Therapy has the ability to treat injured tissues that are deep and chronic. In laboratory and clinical studies, it has been shown to be effective for many conditions, such as osteoarthritis, Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and low back pain, to name a few.

HOW IS CLASS IV LASER THERAPY DIFFERENT FROM PREVIOUS LASER THERAPY?

Compared to previous lasers available, Class IV Laser Therapy emits stronger, more intense laser treatment in a shorter amount of time than previous lasers available. It also emits more laser wavelengths that accelerate the healing of injured tissues.
