The therapist will take a detailed history of your condition, perform objective physical examination and will provide a treatment. The initial visit duration would be 60 minutes.
The therapist will use certain manual therapy techniques, apply theraeutic modalities and develop an individually tailored exercise program. You can ask any questions about your condition during the session. This session can last 45 minutes to an hour depending upon your issue.
You will be treated by a FEMALE pelvic health physiotherapist. You will be asked to fill out few forms. The assessment and treatment will be done in a private room with one-on-one approach. The therapist will collect a detailed history, take your consent and perform internal palpation of your vagina or rectum as part of objective assessment. You need to come 15 minutes earlier to your sheduled appointment in order to do the paper work.
The treatment involves brief discussion about last session, individually designed pelvic floor exercise programs and certain manual therapy techniques.
This includes assessment of the posture, balance, coordination, sensory and motor functions for conditions such as Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Post polio Residual Paralysis, Multiple Sclerosis etc. Please carry all medical and diagnostic information/ reports with you while coming for initial visit. This will provide the therapist with better understanding of your problem.
